It is time Republicans stand up for what it means to be a Republican-"Limited government involvement". So what is the Bush Administration doing by agreeing to bailout Wall Street. If Elizabeth Dole is our Republican Senator, she should stand up to special interests and stand up for Americans. Dole has not stood up for North Carolina at all, we would not even know she was our senator, except for her name on the ballot. Now is the time for Liddy Dole to prove herself to American and stand up and defeat this bailout or tell us why we should help the rich stay rich.

One of the Democrats tv ad has two men sitting on a porch complaining. Although this ad is suppose to highlight weakness of Senator Dole, to me it only shows the Democrats approach to today’s problems, “sit on the porch and complain while others are out doing the work”.

I just received your letter regarding climate change. I am not for anymore enviormental attempts to control my life, Your support of the previous Leiberman bill is probably a vote killer for me. You voted to saddle the people of this country with a 45 trillion dollar price tag. Even the EPA said it was too expensive. 31000 climitatolgist have stated that there is no science to support this scam and have signed a document. Do you realize that this amount of money could fix Social Security and Medicare and you voted to lay this on us??? Private industry always passes it to us. I beleive if you wish to continue with this you will find that the voters have stated, 65%, no to this price tag.
Please reveiw the science and the lack of support from the voters. The media and the left are the only ones supporting this. Do not become a Rino.

Thank you, Senator Dole:

Once again you have demonstrated the greatest maturity in your approach to solving problems!

Not rhetoric and hand-waiving but on-the-street with nitty-gritty, real effort! Thank you for the real effort to keep criminals out of our country!

My wife and I have been waiting three years to even get a chance to obtain a waiting number for her immigration. We are still waiting to get a number in the waiting-line. Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of dishonest people have gone around the legal process of our country and filled our nation's crevices with petty (at least) criminals.

I have spent untold amounts of money and time flying half-way across the world to be with her (no less than 15 very costly round-trips). Our hearts are shattered by the undue lengthy and convoluted process of bringing us together in the nation of my ancestors, the land of freedom, the land of Liberty, the land my folks fought and died for since before the inception of our Nation!

Your staff helped me overcome a paper-work entanglement to keep this (however cold and callous) correctly on-track in our legal and lawful processes. We still stand outside the waiting room, after more than three years in the rain. Our sacrifices should not be in vain!

Thank you for fighting for the law that we suffer so desperately to support!

Thank you for your staff's efficiency and concern!

I will go to the polls and vote for you again; you are one of very few politicians I genuinely believe and trust!

Thank you, Elizabeth Dole!

I believe that the best cure to any of America's problems is to get the Government out of the way. The energy "crises" is completly the fault of politicians. No drilling anywhere, no new refineries, mandated ethanol including huge farm subsidies, vetoed by our President and overridden by cowardly Republicans. The Congress has given us both high fuel and food prices, and now as a final insult to our intelligence proposes
"cap and trade" a huge tax increase on all citizens. It is imperative to remove all who support these issues.

Senator Dole, I have written you on many occasions. I feel that you have done a fair job at your post. There is much to be done to return this country to the people. Your vote on the farm bill was disappointing as it continues the concept that government can fix all and it only creates disasters. ie ethanel which is creating world hunger. The list is very long that I could create. Cap and trade is opposed by 65% of the Americans. Not one penny for cap and trade.
Look up the recent polls. These include your voters. Here is a new energy policy that will work, DRILL, DRILL. Get Gov. out of the way. I fear that most Republicans have lost touch with the people. These two issues could put Republicans back in power but not the bi partisan sell outs that they have been doing. I hear now that Montana is planning on suceeding out of the union. Watch the land prices soar there.

We appreciate you and what you stand for in representing North Carolina in the Senate. Americans have been led by the media to want "change." We do need change - the gridlock the Democrats have maintained in prohibiting the confirmation of good judges needs to changed. Corruption needs to be changed. But we DEFINITELY do NOT need the "change" that Sen. Obama wants to bring, or that your opponent will endorse. We need a strong military, he wants to emasculate it. We need strong marriagaes comprised of one man and one woman, which he opposes. We need to protect innocent life in the womb, which he could care less about. We need a strong conservative voice to withstand the attacks of the left. Thank you for what you do.

Elizabeth -- great to see you joining the debate in such a public forum. I enjoyed seeing you during my visit to DC on 4/15, and thank you for highlighting the critical economic issues affecting us during this election cycle.

In the eyes of many working Americans, terror is already firmly on our shores. It's the terror of inflation that's understated by our Bureau of Labor Statistics, and grocery and gas bills that are spiraling out of control.

Folks are getting frustrated, and looking to the government for "change". Unfortunately, today's federal government is the average American's biggest enemy as it continues to borrow and print money on top of an existing $9.4 trillion national debt, and unfunded liabilities of $40-60 trillion (depending on whose numbers you believe) for Medicare and Social Security.

Our national credit card is tapped out, and the rest of the world is gradually telling us what our dollar is worth -- as a result, we are being hammered with higher prices that are eviscerating the middle class.

Given that the emperor is very poorly dressed, it's time to own up to the fact that our federal government can't help us any more. Washington cannot create wealth -- it can confiscate through taxes, borrow and create debt for my children, or print money and make our existing dollars worth less.

How can we get people to realize that "change we can believe in" does NOT mean a federal government providing "benefits" that it can't afford? Continuing to borrow and print money to "help" will only make the underlying problems worse.

Here's hoping our party, and the people, will figure out a way to move in a better direction:

Looking forward to joining you on the campaign trail!

Glad to have a fine candidate like Elizabeth Dole running this year.

It looks like it could be a tough year for the GOP nationally, but in NC we have a sound candidate who loks like a winner.
