Sen Dole,
Great job over the past 5 years handling Iraq, Afghanistan. I believe that we must consolidate our gains in Iraq through a proper withdrawal plan, . I have every confidence in GEN Petraus, GEN Odierno, & LTG Austin. I am comfortable with the 3 year window with which to accomplish our plan.
However, I’m skeptical about the prospects of success in Afghanistan and well as the benefits of such as success. Whereas the strategic significance of Iraq is obvious, I wonder what the strategic significance of Afghanistan is.

Senator Dole, what criticisms do you have about the war in Afghanistan and Iraq? I believe with all my heart there were and are weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Saddam used them to kill his own people, they found plants where they were producing chemicals for warfare but the media and Dems will never report that. We are not fighting an enemy that is easily recognizable. They kill and hide behind the innocents and scurry off in their little cracks like roaches. I do not think one American life is worth most muslims, but in saying that we must give the two countries the best chance they can get at creating their own democracy. The media and Dems keep rushing the process but how long did it take for the U.S. to get its freedom? But when you spoke about these two countries paying for or funding their efforts I totally agree. I think they owe the American people free oil! We should use all the Princes and oil mongers in the middle east to pay down our deficit!

Dear Senator,
Please keep fighting for off shore drilling, the illegal immigrant issue, and veteran affairs.
Lastly, please hold Sen Dodd & Rep Frank accountable for their roles in the finanacial crisis we all find ourselves in! I truly believe Sen McCain dropped the ball when he suspended his campaign to back to Washington and then failed to make this the issue or doing anything of substance about it.

Thank you for your strength in supporting our military’s efforts during the War on Terrorism these past 7 years. Please continue to encourage good leaders to be established and other wise adjustments to be made as the conflict continues. Two of my 5 children (a son and a daughter) are now USAF officers (as my husband and I were in the 1980’s). Thank you for caring about them, and the other military people who have put themselves in harm’s way for all our sakes.

Oh, I forgot to mention that we have lived in Clayton, North Carolina since we got out of the Air Force in 1985, and we hope & pray you will get re-elected tomorrow, so you will continue to represent us here in NC for 6 more years. Good Luck, Sen Dole!
